Usually in their peak June through September, the rich red color and noticeable fragrance is a sure sign of a ripe tomato and most flavorful when sun-ripened on the vine not in a grocery store. Tomatoes need little embellishment for they are good right off the vine and a mighty fine enhancement to many recipes. My search for the perfect bowl of tomato soup was seemingly endless. Years later, little did I know I would stumble upon this fresh tomato soup recipe some 3,000+ miles from home. Served hot or cold … this recipe for fresh tomato soup is delightful!
